Family Philanthropy Interest Circle

This event is for current SV2 Donor Partners only, and is led by Deb Dauber.

Poverty in America Today: What the Current Moment Means for Anti-Poverty Policy

Join us virtually for a conversation about current poverty policy and its weaknesses, what has happened to the social safety net, and different approaches in response to the current moment. Devon Gray, Executive Director of EPIC (End Poverty in California) and David Plasterer, Senior Policy Advisor at RESULTS will be in conversation with Amy Everitt, SV2 Partner and President of Golden State Opportunity. SV2 Impact Investing | June Monthly Pitches

Wednesday, 6/11 | 11:30am - 1:00pm | Zoom

The SV2 Impact Investing Group meets monthly on Zoom to hear two social enterprise startups pitch. Partners are invited to provide input on the pitches and volunteer to participate on due diligence teams. All SV2 Partners are welcome to begin regularly attending pitch meetings at any point in the year or are welcome to attend meetings on a drop-in basis. Immediately following the pitch meeting, the Investment Committee (IC) convenes to hear the due diligence reports from the previous month and make investment decisions on behalf of SV2. All Partners are welcome to observe the IC Meetings immediately following the pitch meeting.

Navreet Kaur

Navreet brings 25 years of global experience focusing on building meaningful human connections in enterprise sales, business development, and partner management. Over the past decade, she has worked on driving internet adoption across global emerging markets. And for the last two years, she has applied her skills towards exploring tech solutions to assist with effective waste management, aiming to accelerate a circular economy. Navreet has a deep desire to work on food & agriculture, equity, and building climate resilience. She joins SV2 eager to find more opportunities to apply her experience and drive impact.

Amy Peabody

Amy has spent 20+ years of her career dedicated to transformative philanthropy. She has raised funds for the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR), the Los Altos Educational Foundation (LAEF), and Saint Francis High School in Mountain View. Before the education realm, Amy combined her passion for the performing arts and relationship-building by serving on the development team for TheatreWorks Silicon Valley. She is an avid tennis fan who fills her soul with theatre, art, and travel. Amy and her husband, Brent Ingram, a dentist in West San José, are the proud parents of Rafe (16) and Rhys (13). If not plugged in at SV2, Amy and her family are likely pursuing new adventures and staying active with pickleball, golf, and skiing. Her life goal is to be a catalyst for connecting people and resources to serve our Bay Area community through a collective giving spirit.

Food Distribution with Puente

Join us in supporting Puente’s Food Distribution Event! Volunteers will assist with distributing a variety of food items to over 200 households. Please note that volunteers will be lifting up to 30 pounds repeatedly during the shift and standing for up to 5 hours. What to bring: A hat, closed-toed shoes, and work gloves.

Food Distribution with Redwood City Together
