WELCOME NEW SV2 PARTNERS

Sherene Chen

In her next chapter, Sherene wants to combine her wealth advisory knowledge with her passion for philanthropy by helping a foundation, social impact fund, or other philanthropic endeavor to deliver a sustained impact. In her first chapter, Sherene spent over ten years in finance, working in wealth management services at Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan Chase and corporate finance management at Agilent Technologies. Just over ten years ago, Sherene started her own business as a wardrobe stylist, styling for various photo, video, print publications, runway shows, and clothing boutiques. She volunteered with the San Francisco Dress for Success program and became involved with a variety of philanthropic organizations and government boards, such as the Marin Women’s Commission, Ross Valley Women’s League, the American Association of University Women, and Marin Charitable. She then served as CEO for Bloom Marin, a nonprofit that provided complimentary wardrobes to men, women and children transitioning to a life of self-reliance. After helping Bloom Marin be acquired by the YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley in April 2022, Sherene sees herself weaving together these diverse chapters of her life into one that incorporates her business acumen from her years in wealth advisory and corporate finance with her experiences in the nonprofit and philanthropic worlds.
