Welcome Ambition Angels and Tarjimly! | SV2’s New Grantee Partners

Our Spring 2024 Tech for Good Grant Round was insightful and hope-giving through our often troubling and uncertain times. After a holistic community nomination, learning, and selection process, we selected Ambition Angels and Tarjimly as our newest Grantee Partners. Each nonprofit received $90,000 of unrestricted funding over three years, and SV2’s beyond-the-dollars support. We are deeply honored to be in partnership with both of these outstanding organizations!

Introducing Mariana Aguilar, SV2’s new Operations Manager! 


We're thrilled to welcome Mariana Aguilar to the SV2 staff team as the new Operations Manager. Mariana’s role supports SV2's daily operations, including finance, HR, IT, and communications. She also works closely with the Board and provides other program support. Prior to SV2, Mariana served as Operations and Human Resource Manager at Amigos de Guadalupe Center for Justice & Empowerment. Welcome, Mariana!

SV2 Impact Investing | September Monthly Pitches

Wednesday, 9/4 | 11:30am - 1:00pm | Zoom


The SV2 Impact Investing Group meets monthly on Zoom to hear two social enterprise startups pitch. Partners are invited to provide input on the pitches and volunteer to participate on due diligence teams. All SV2 Partners are welcome to begin regularly attending pitch meetings at any point in the year or are welcome to attend meetings on a drop-in basis.

Marie Encrantz

Marie is currently President and CFO of Allegro Investment Inc. and manages a portfolio of companies for her family’s philanthropic foundation. Marie brings with her over 25 years of international business development experience. She is currently Chairman of Zymbit, Inc. and an active board member of AnaMar AB, Koncentra AB and Creston Water Solutions, Inc. With a special emphasis on finance, accounting and administration, Marie’s previous roles include Silicon Storage Technology Inc., in California, and General Manager and Controller of Koncentra Holding AB in Stockholm, Sweden. Marie has a BSc in International Business from Menlo College and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Want to make a difference but don’t have a lot of time to volunteer? We love food donations on Fridays for our Monday Markets. One Life’s Monday Market serves over 1,200 meals. Bring any shelf stable donations and we will get them to clients with food insecurity. More Info here.

Redwood City Together | Food Distribution 

Friday, 8/9 | 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Fair Oaks Community Center

2600 Middlefield Rd. Redwood City, CA


Join us for some community volunteering! This is a monthly food distribution where 200-250 families benefit from free groceries. This is an exciting in person volunteer opportunity to be in community with Redwood City Together, our new Community Initiative Grantee Partner. We have five slots available for the SV2 community each month. RSVP here.
